k is for kidney stone.
last night around 12:15pm, as i was getting ready for bed, i suddenly had a sharp pain in my side.
it was concentrated over by my left kidney area and it hurt extremely bad.
it seriously was the worst pain i've ever had in my life.
seriously...
thankfully i had some tylenol three left over from a doctor's visit regarding my wisdom teeth the other week.
but that didn't kick in until later.
my mother was kind enough to drive me to the hospital.
at each red light and stop sign i wanted so badly to jump out of the car and run as fast as i could to the hospital.
we got to the hospital at 1:30am and after signing in and filling out a few forms, by 2:30ish, the tylenol had kicked in, giving my ailing body much needed relief.
we waited in the ER until 6:50am when i finally got seen (i go to a free county hospital which explains the wait).
i got layed out on a stretcher and an IV put in my arm that was giving me fluid so to help flush the kidney stone out.
after looking at test results it turns out that the stone passed with me in hospital.
thankfully it was completely painless.
the moral of the story:
drink lots of water.
if you ever get a kidney stone, i know how you feel.
